"This movie will do for Brendan Fraser what 'Capote' did for Philip Seymour Hoffman."

I'm very intrigued by this pairing...the Halston story should be a blockbuster of a tale, if well told. And can you imagine the casting for those legends in his orbit??
Calling Jeffery...

Geez...the cuthroat nature of Hollywood...not even giving Alec a chance to diet! I don't think he is too old, but the weight thing can be a problem for roles.
Personally, I don't care for Brendan Fraser's acting - don't think he was that great in Gods and Monsters or in Crash. (Although the rest of the cast in Crash was good, and McKellen was great in Gods and Monsters). I don't think Brendan looks much like Halston, either. I think Julian McMahon would have been a much better choice.

Me likey Brendan too, but not enough to see Crash. He's so stocky; I can't picture him as Halston, but what the hell. This movie better have great clothes.

DITTO! That's what I was thinking...the clothes and recreation of Studio 54 and those wild Warhol days, gone forever. AIDS took so many.

Tut, tut. Not stocky, Kapha dosha, my dear. I like his acting - Encino Man was a hoot.

Click to view attachmentGosh, I canNOT see this man, portraying . . . HALSTON. He'll have to do a hell of an acting, job . . . I'd have given this one, to Tom Hanks . . .

Isn't this the same movie they've been talking about for years now? I thought it was supposed to be out two years ago?
Brenden Fraser to play Halston? No way.
Baldwin... I could see, for sure.

By the time this film ever makes it to the screen, it could make Fellini's Satyricon, look . . . mainstream.
