I made it to the midyear sales today at a large shopping center near me.. I'd been to a smaller one a week ago without much luck. Today I saw some fun bargains and was rewarded for a years worth of patient waiting with a most desired 'fume.
Bargain wise I was amazed to see the 75ml of O de Lancome at Perfumeconnection for only 52.50. It is this price on their website as well. I was good though as I already have a huge tester bottle of this I bought from them for half that price and I know I won't be opening another for a few years. They are selling the YSL In Love Again(s) very cheaply as well, "Fleur de la Passion 2005" 49.00 for the 100ml and "Jasmine Etoile 2006" 39.00 for the 100ml. Too bad I don't like them one bit, lol (the original was o-kay I guess). But a nice bargain for anyone who did.
My patient waiting came in the form of Boucheron's Trouble which was finally, surprisingly reduced. A Christmas gift set which they had knocked 20 bucks off at Easter was now only 65.00 for a 50ml edp, body cream and perfumed glitter powder (not sure what I will do with that last one). A rarity on Aus. ebay I was just so happy to have it at last at such a great price!
So, anyone else having fun with midyear sales?

Lady Jicky I've been wondering if the sales are much less abundant this year or if it's just that my collection has expanded and I'm not excited about much on offer any more.
I've never been to the city Myer for these sales, do you know if they have much on super sale in their perfume section?

I got 2 large bottles of Red Door shower gel and body lotion for my sister (Red dooe is the only perfume she wears). It was a quick call in to the Malouf Group sale. Everything else was very ordinary, no new ones, no really good prices.
The D&G Light Blue gift set was cheap, but as I find it quite similar (make that a cousin) to Cerutti Image, I'll stick with that one. I've been wearing Cerutti Image for ages and never tire of it

btw Jicky Target is also now selling real fragrances. They have 50ml of Light Blue for 49.00, it is in their current catalogue. They also had Ralph Lauren Blue very cheap, and unlike Kmart they have a whole display of testers!

Teacake, i was in myer at Doncaster. I wouldn't mind betting the city and Chadstone was not much better. Notice how the sales girls in the cosmetics Jump on you if you stop by a counter just to look. I tell you, I am getting sick of them! LOL

Yes I give them a wiiiiiiiide berth. I was at Myer in Eastland and in Knox City. The one in Eastland is considered a "small" Myer which means they just don't have some things, such as Prada. Why they can't fit a few more fragrances on a shelf I don't know but that is how it works. My bargain was in Knox City which has always had quite a bit of sale items and easily had triple Eastland's this year.

Oh thanks teacake - I hardly ever get to the Target, but when I do, my Dad will see me head straight towards the perfume section. It says I just 'know where they are'. hehe

They have 75ml of Ralph Lauren Blue for 69.00!! It is always sold out. They have little cubicles to display their perfumes but most of them are sold out when I've been there.
I also saw the other day that Price Attack now sells perfumes (this is a hair care outlet). They had the usual suspects (Red Door etc..) but also had Angel and quite a few others I was surprised to see.
I am thinking there has been some thaw in the ice ceiling that kept fragrances away from discount destinations. This is really exciting!
