This is a book, not a bottle of perfume, so please let us engage in a discussion in this part of the forum. It does not matter what the subject is, a book is a book. As as the author of forty books I feel strongly about this subject. It is like saying Jurrasic Park is a dinosaur, rather than a movie.

The Emperor of Scent
Michael Edwards Fragrances of the World
Nigel Groom's Perfume book
John Oakes several perfume books..
All these have been discussed in Talk about Perfume. They are about perfume as are the blogs and websites and interviews that get discussed on Talk about Perfume. It is all a part of the Great Perfume Discussion.. unlike Angeline Jolie's baby which has nothing to do with perfume so ends up in Talk about Life or Talk about Art if there's some movie tie in to it.

Or a book, as the case may be (it was a book first, Jane!! A good book, actually. By Michael Crichton. They took a whole lot of liberties with it to make a movie.) I suppose I really must agree with you and insist that whatever it was, it wasn't a dinosaur!!.
I have not yet read Luca Turin's latest, as someone offered to send it to me and it has not yet arrived. I'm very much looking forward to it....and to reading everyone else's thoughts on it here!
