This Russ Meyer pic from the 70's was just released on DVD. DH and I watched it last night. It truly is one of the strangest movies I have ever seen, like taking a bad acid trip and getting lost at JC Penneys: psychodelic polyester galore. The funny this it was written by Roger Ebert the film critic.

He's come a long way, baby! I saw this film a long time ago, pieganjane, and for some reason your mention of JC Penneys makes me want to see it again. Is this the one with Suzy Parker--takes place in Greenwich Village? I seem to remember visuals more than the story itself. There was one little boutique they show in the film where I had actually bought a pair of earrings. I think I still have them somewhere around today...

Oh, wait a mo... I think the one I saw was the original Valley of the Dolls. Have to catch this one (or should that be kitsch this one?).
