I thought Ms. Holm was great, in All About Eve . . . she played her part, 'just so.' Especially loved the scene with her and Bette inside the car, snuggled inside their mink coats. It was scorching hot during those scenes . . . almost 120 degrees, inside the 'automobile.' Yet, these two women looked so cozy inside their closed confines. Expert acting.

Oh, I agree, Armanis. That's so interesting (to me!) about the weather being hot inside and outside. What superb acting - they did look very "wintery" and cosy in their fur coats.

I just LURVE, those little tidbits about the movies!! Yes, it was scalding hot, that summer in LA . . . hundred degree days, for extended periods. The temp inside that car, was estimated to be 120 degrees!! You could have fooled, me!! I've learned so many fascinating things about what happens during movie making, by reading bios of stars and directors . . . the antics during Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, before Joan Crawford backed out of the movie, were hilarious . . .

Happy Birthday, Celeste! I always liked Celeste Holm and love to watch her films whenever possible. Nice to know they had such a nice celebration. I noticed Robert Osborne was there. I like him a lot too, whenever I get a chance to watch TCM down in the States. My favourite film with Celeste Holm was always Champagne for Caesar with Ronald Coleman, I believe, and Vincent Price.
Oh, bless her heart. I hope she keeps kicking for a while longer.

Oh boy she looks great and what a great actor too. I bet she could still out -act anyone off the screen these days . Love to see her put in a movie.
