What is meant by the "board index size?" Trying to understand the problem.

Hi 5-O, I mean that the board index page on all forums is so big that I have to scroll back and forth to read it.

I have an idea of what it might be. Did a test on my computer to create the situation. The board is set up to fit in a setting of 1024 x 768 pixels. If you go into "Control Panel/Display/Settings," you will see the number of pixels your screen is set at. If it is 800 x 600 pixels, move the setting up to 1024 x 768, hit apply and then click "Yes" when it asks you if you want to keep the setting. Then go back on the forum and see if the page fits. This will make all of your pages on the computer slightly smaller but most sites today are configured for this size. Let me know if that works.

Hi 5-O,
It worked for this site, but it did make everything else too small. I'll have to readjust for this site only I suppose.
Thanks for the info!

Fiori, at first when I switched to 1024 x 768 I found it small too on many sites, although it cleared up problems on a lot of them. But after a short while I got used to that configuration and now I find 800 x 600 too big. Glad it worked anyway.

What happened is this: When Jeffery put the heading posts at the top of the pages, explaining perfumista subrscriptions, they are really long and cause the page to be forced wider.
The same thing happens on an individual thread, if a person posts a large picture or has a very long title.
I don't like the scolling either. What you can do is try to use the "View New Posts" button at the top and get used to going in that way rather than going in on each subject like we are used to.

Okay. I didnt realize that the length of the title effected the width of the page. Thanks all for your help. :-)
