How do you pronounce the french girl's name "Floriane"?
There seems to be a lot of younger women in google images with the name so am I safe to assume this name is not old fashioned in a bad way like Mavis or Doris would be in an english speaking country?

FLO - REE - ANN.
Which syllable has the emphasis?
And it's ANN as in FAN?
Thanks for your answer!

it's kinda like:
floh--hree--AHN'
That French "r" is gargled at the back of the throat, almost as though you were trying to dislodge a stubborn popcorn kernel from the back of your throat, ha-ha.
Depending on where in France you lived and how old you were and the context of the word in a sentence, you might add a subtle schwa (indefinite "uh" sound) to the end of this name, as:
floh-hree-AHN'-uh
