You stick a bunch of insecure, control freaking females together, things are bound to get catty and nasty. This is nothing that hasn't happened anywhere in the workforce, in households, schools, or... online. ;D

My sentiments exactly. I never liked the View or any other talk shows. I have better things to do than sit on my backside stuffing my face and complaining how miserable I am or have someone tell me what to do with these fun and creative ideas. Please.

True, she could've been fired. But my gut feeling is, no, this is a publicity stunt, a bit of juicy disinformation geared to keep everybody wondering and the pot boiling.

Whenever closely-knit showbiz "acts" need to break up, it is often expedient and useful, publicity-wise, for them to feign a bitter disagreement, even when the real breakup was slowly and thoughtfully orchestrated over a goodly period of time, and agreed-upon civilly by all parties concerned.

It's not good-- for example-- for a star who's going solo, to make it look like she's simply hungry for more fame and money. (No matter how true that may be!).

If Star were to leave cheerfully, with all castmembers visibly patting her on the back-- it would kinda make the show-- THE VIEW-- lose a little bit of face, as if it were "worth leaving", if you know what I mean. Audiences would find themselves wondering, "Well if Star left, what's keeping these other gals sitting around like lost farts?" Well, one or more of those "lost farts" may need this gig-- more than meets the eye.

Showbiz is a fickle monster whose logic is wily and calculating. Don't ever kid yourself.

Star Jones is one big walking agenda. Look who she's married to. You can't tell me that they have a normal, happy, healthy physical relationship at home. I don't buy it--nooooo waaaaay. She must get something out of being married to him....free gifts, maybe?

I mean her husband is gay, I'm sorry, allegedly gay, she's trying to pull a fast one on us that he's all man and she's very happy that the good lord had bestowed her such a wonderful man. She thinks she holds the key to everything and knows everything and uses the almighty to do her dirty work. Please.

Yup, there's even a word for it: "frien-emies" (rhymes with "enemies")

ENNEAGRAM THREE types can be great leaders, but they have a dark side that can seem deranged when it finally makes itself known...

Read this page where it says HEALTHY/AVERAGE/UNHEALTHY. Then read the list of celebrities below who fit this Personality type..... Does this all ring a bell?

I have learned that it is SO-O-O important for each of us to find our own unique definitions of what "success" is, or might be. Don't let Enneagram Type THREEs dictate to you what success "must be for everybody".. They have their own inner psychological axes to grind...

Ras, I think you forgot add the link for the article. I would love to read it.

Thanks, Ras. While I reading it, I thought aren't we all like that? But I guess there are people who are way over the line. While reading it, I felt like that I am that kind but it takes a set of ###### to take to the extreme like these people and celebrities. We are constantly looking for approval and acceptance from people and we will do anything just to get that gratification. I am happy the way I am and accepted the level I'm in, not type 3 that's for sure.

Thanks, Ras, again. I did a sample test of my personality. I'm type 1 and 6 with both scores of 7, with 8 being the highest, the rest is average of 3's. Some of the questions were hard for me to pick because I'm like that and I'm like this and it was hard to choose the right one. I have to take it again when I'm not feeling rushed only because I have a 2 year to keep an eye on.

Wow. Good read. Sounds eerily like one of my exes.

She will be missed.

Not.

Here is the latest link that I got. It's from People and it was delivered to my e-mail.
Hope the link works.

Thin, yes....but her face looks like [expletive deleted] IMHO, plus she is too self-absorbed and greedy to be beautiful.

How did she ever get the least bit famous anyway?

Yeah, that's my question, too.

Who knows? How does anyone with no talent become famous--sheer determination, I guess. Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Star--I think they share the "ruthless determination" genome.

As I recalled, Star Jones is a lawyer. She was tapped in during the OJ Simpson trial to give a commentary of what's going on during the trail. I guess from there, she was discovered. I've seen her during the evening news giving a report of the trial of the century. She was sought after for her expertise of the law.

I hope her 15 minutes are almost up.

I think Star Jones just rubs a lot of people the wrong way. She's annoying and so full of herself. I never watch the View because I find ALL of them as irritating as nails on a chalkboard! Personally, I think the addition of Rosie O'Donnell (another one who's full of herself) is only going to hasten the flushing of this insufferable talk show down the proverbial toilet. Which, as Martha says, is a good thing.
altodiva
Star rubs me the wrong way, but Rosie rubs me the wrong way even worse. I find her incredibly overbearing, and that's saying a lot since I'm pretty overbearing myself. :-)

I can't resist this. Scroll down a tiny bit to the set of three pics titled "The Transformation of Star Jones."

Fascinating photos! Micheal Jackson continues to be the scariest. He was such a good looking kid - it's so sad to see this.

Who CARES about Star? I mean REALLY??
AbstractionWhiteRose
Boy...it takes a lot to get me to talk trash about people. Even easy-target celebrities--they're just a bunch of messy, complicated, terrible/wonderful humans, like the rest of us. But Star Jones seems to be one of the most insincere, self-righteous, dishonest people I've ever encountered in the media. She is just awful.

Sorry, Star. If you choose the limelight, ya gotta accept that people are going to form their opinions. The rest of us get to carry on our foolishness in obscurity.
ForTheLoveofMando
I'm glad she's gone. Bye-Bye! LOL!!
CHARDKAY
I cannot stand Star Jones!! She is so full of herself! I don't watch The View because I get tired of listening to all of them talking and interrupting at the same time. I adore Barbara Walters and think she is one classy lady! Joy Behar has no class whatsoever and comes across to me as a shrill harpy. I am not surprised that Star made a big deal out of leaving the show instead of showing some class and bowing out gracefully. I am glad that she is gone. I will watch Rosie because I love her!!! Wanna bet that Oprahs friend Gayle won't try to get on????
