Full Version: Tour De France
Perfume of Life > A Civilized Perfume Affair > Talk About Life

As an avid cylist in the summer (road and mountain) is anyone here tuning into the Tour de France yet?

While it not garnered much media coverage as last year with Lance's and his final Tour, it's so thrilling to watch and motivational!

Too bad it's raining today... I'd love to hit the trails. Here's a photo of me in my element from a few weeks ago out near the lake in the woods where a few of of us were biking.

If you are watching the Tour, who are you hopeful about?

I am watching the live coverage on TV5, but I don't have a "favorite" picked out, just enjoying the coverage!

I did feel very sorry for the guy who got badly cut the first day by a stupid spectator hanging a sign out onto the roadway in the path of the riders. I am continually shocked at the lack of respect and intelligence of the spectators who run out into the road and practically knock over the riders, and crowd them as they are trying to get past. Have a brain, people! Stand on the sidlenes and let the guys past unmolested.

I love the Tour de France and watch it live every year on TV. Love to see the countryside and the riders. Do I have a favourite? Tell the truth I do not know them but I go the Aussie if there is one in the field and there is!

Really bad fall last night , one Aussie and one American out .

I was happy to see Robbie McEwan win it today, he looked thrilled (as well he should be). I was surprised to see the Basque team recover so well after all of them crashed in the turn near the end of the race. And what happened to that one guy in green who crashed in the middle of the peloton very near the end? Looked like his wheels slid out from under him and he fell right. I wonder if he got his handlebars hooked on the guy to his right (who luckily didn't fall).
