I only knew about the Led Zepellin Battle of Evermore, the David Bowie ones about 1984, Alan Parsons Project (which is Poe intact ,set to music)and Bush's Wuthering Heights (great song , she wrote it at 16 years of age !!). And Venus in furs....well.....it's telling just from the title.
"One" by Metallica is inspired by that film , yes : great great film , great great song ( a masterpiece really - all possible emotions are in it : wistfulness , nostalgia , pain , anger , insecurity , despair , wonder.... )
If you haven't listened to it - or watched the film- I suggest you do that ASAP. It's that good.
Great list !! Thanks !
